PayLink offers a variety of ways for you to get notifications for new orders, including text notifications, an audible chime on the Pending Orders screen, and web push notifications.
Text message notifications
Text message notifications can help keep employees and managers updated with alerts from PayLink.
PayLink can send text notifications to your employees and/or managers based on any or all of the following conditions:
When a customer leaves a rating of 2-stars or less.
New online orders.
When a customer has arrived at your location for curbside pickup.
Browser Notifications
Web notifications can be received on a PC or Android device via Google Chrome web browser which can be installed on desktop, mobile, or tablet.
From the PayLink Dashboard click on the option Subscribe to receive Google Chrome web push notification messages for orders.
Note: Google Chrome web push notifications are not supported for iOS devices. To receive notifications of new orders on iOS, use the text alert feature instead link.
Audible chime on Pending Orders screen
To ensure timely service and keep staff up-to-date on new orders and customer arrivals, PayLink has an audible chime that plays when you are on the Pending Orders screen.
At the top of the Pending Orders page is the Enable Chime button. This enables an audible chime that will automatically be played under the following conditions:
New Orders in the current window.
Curbside orders that are marked as ”Arrived”
When orders are marked as Ready or Complete on separate devices, such as a PC or tablet in the kitchen which also displays the Pending Orders screen.
Note: If you exit out of this screen, you must click the Enable Chime button again. The chime will be disabled when the page is refreshed.
PayLink has a message log that keeps track of all text messages sent. This can be helpful in the event that staff needs to confirm a link has been properly sent.
The message log is under Account 〉 Message Log and shows a chronologically sorted list of text messages recently sent from PayLink. The message log displays a copy of the message sent, a link to the check, and the mobile number of the recipient. Text messages will vary based on the modules your account is set up with, and cover the following actions:

PayLink has the ability to prompt guests to complete a quick survey after checkout, giving you valuable feedback to help you control the quality of your products and services.
If using Mobile Checkout, you can know when a guest is less than satisfied before they’ve left, allowing you the opportunity to turn an otherwise negative experience into a positive outcome.
How to manage guest feedback settings
1. Once logged in, navigate to Account 〉 Profile.
2. Scroll down to the section titled “Would you like to ask guests to rate their experience?”
3. Select one of the following options:
Disable: Completely disable the ability for guest to leave reviews after checkout.
Ratings: Will only ask customers to rate their experience from 1-5 stars.
Rating + Survey: Will ask customers to rate their experience from 1-5 stars plus a quick survey where guests respond with “Poor, Below Average, Average, Good or Excellent” to the following questions:
How would you rate your food and beverage(s)?
How would you rate your server?
How likely are you to recommend us to a friend?
How likely are you to pay with mobile checkout again?
Finally, do you have any additional comments for us?
Then a section for additional comments
4. Click Save at the bottom of the page.
To view reports of previous PayLink ratings, head to the Reports page under Reports 〉 PayLink Ratings. This will display a list of previous ratings of which you can filter by the last 7 days, the last 30 days, monthly, or yearly. Click here for more info on ratings.
→ Important: For Online Ordering, the order must first be marked as Completed on the Pending Orders screen for the ratings to display on the customer’s digital receipt. See the Pending Orders section for details on how to operate the pending orders screen.
PayLink’s Promotions feature allows you to add custom promotions to the digital receipts and the online ordering confirmation page, as well as coupon codes for online ordering at checkout. Promotions encourage guest engagement and repeat business, enabling you to digitally connect with your customer base.
How to add a promotion to the Confirmation Page
1. Once logged in, navigate to Promotions 〉 Confirmation Page where you can add an image at the top portion of the confirmation page and a link that customers will be directed to when they tap on the image.
Make sure ☑ Promotion Enabled is checked to enable the promotion.
2. You must add an external link. (e.g https://yourwebsite.com) This can be a link to your website or any ongoing online promotions you may have. Customers will be taken to this link when they click on the image.
Note: Make sure to include the “https://” or “http://” prefix in the URL.
If you do not have your own website you can use the link to your paylink store “https://pay.link/order/{yourstorename}”.
3. Press the “+” icon to add a new image. Select a file and click Upload.
If you have already uploaded an image from Account 〉 Manage Media Assets Page then select an option from the drop-down.
Images uploaded to PayLink will be saved for future use.
4. Click Save.
How to add a promotion to the digital receipt
1. To add promotions to the digital receipt, navigate to the Promotions 〉 SMS Receipt page.
You can add promotional text, a banner, and a button that will direct customers to an external link.
2. Make sure ☑ Promotion Enabled is checked.
3. If you have a website or any online promotional material, you can add a link in the External Link field that customers will be directed to when they click on the button.
4. Add a custom message in the Promotional Text field to notify customers of current promotions you have running, for example, “Use coupon code 10%OFF on your next order” or “Checkout our website for daily specials”.
5. Add a name for the button in the Button Text field, for example, “Join” or “Click here”. This button will be displayed at the bottom of the receipt and will route customers to the external link when clicked.
6. Add a banner image in the Optional Banner Image field. Click the +symbol, add a name for the banner image, then click Choose File.

Images uploaded to PayLink will be saved for future use on the Account 〉 Manage Media Assets page.
7. Select an image and click the Upload button.
With PayLink you can create coupons codes that customers can use at checkout. Use this feature to further engage with your customers and encourage repeat business. Coupons can be either a percentage value, such as “20% off”, or a fixed value such as “$5 Off”, and can be set to be used by customers only once or multiple times.
1. To offer coupon codes and discounts to guests, log in and navigate to the Promotions 〉 Coupon Codes page and click the Add Coupon button.
2. Select the ☑ Enabled checkbox. This is used to enable/disable the coupon.
3. Use the ☑ MultiUse checkbox to choose whether you’d like to allow the coupon to be reused by guests on their future orders. Unchecking this option will only allow the guest to use the coupon a single time.
4. Enter a Code: This will be the code that customers will submit on the checkout page to use the discount. For example, “10OFF”.
5. Choose a Coupon Type: Here you can select a % percent based discount or a fixed $ amount.
Percentage – e.g. if you enter 10 as the amount the customer will get 10% off their order.
Fixed amount – e.g. if you enter 10 as the amount then customers will get $10 off their order.
